Do you spend most of your time living outside of your body and primarily in your mind? This is an extremely common experience for those of us living in a culture which encourages competition, success, and self-sufficiency. There is absolutely nothing wrong with working towards those goals. However, many of us then lose our connection to our bodies and ourselves, and we rely more and more on our analytical thinking skills. The end result is a serious disconnect between our mind, body, and soul. These three pillars are truly the perfect formula for life’s success.

The human mind is extremely complex to comprehend fully and can be our greatest power, yet also our greatest hindrance. This wellness pillar encompasses sociology and psychology on a much larger spectrum. Having a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body (regardless of what society tells us), as we need all 3 pillars to promote overall well-being.

In addition, our bodies tell us a lot about who we are, how are doing in life, and the health of our relationships. This information is a vital aspect of the quality of life. Life can shift from black and white to all shades of grey very quickly! We can shift from living as though our bodies and minds are two separate entities into a broader, more holistic understanding of who we are, and more importantly, WHO WE CAN BE.

We are all guilty of getting caught up with our daily stressful life that can take a toll on our mental and physical health. Often, we allow trivial matters to consume our thoughts and negatively influence our minds. Our mind is so incredibly powerful. What we allow to consume our thoughts influences who we are as a person, and the biggest takeaway from today’s post is the art of protecting our inner peace by any means necessary.

Here are 3 very easy tips for you to think about today:
